options trading on eTrade I can do with level 1? !?
I have no experience options and try understand the differences in the levels are. I was hoping I could use cash to support calls and puts at 1, but this does not seem to be the case. Can anyone provide details? Furthermore, since e-commerce only allows upgrades every 90 days, I'm looking for a broker, which I will return calls and puts cash immediately after opening the account. Disclaimer: I realize these are high risk investments that could result in a total loss. That's what I'm looking and I'm only invest risk capital in them, as I do with Forex. Thank you. I understand a larger "than the initial probability of loss of investment" when writing when buying options, but the calls and puts supported with money is it still possible?
Thinkorswim has no levels. You can purchase short or sales from day one. There is no test to pass or wait times. When you are long a call or put the maximum risk is the premium you have paid, but when you sell an option has unlimited risk if it is not covered. Personally, I do not like shopping naked because the margin requirement. I do use a combination of long and short options as part of a line of credit or debit card.
